Seaton Delaval Hall is one of the most important historic houses in Britain. In its heyday, it was a place of intrigue and delight, designed as a theatrical backdrop for the notorious Delaval Family, who would become renowned for their grand theatrics, practical jokes and spectacular masquerade balls.
Founded were commissioned to create an interpretive style to reflect the building’s unique history and spirit of place and encourage visitor engagement through increased emotional connection. Taking inspiration from the works of Peter Blake, Terry Gilliam and Andy Warhol, we created a series of images framing the Delavals as Pop Art era icons to capture their colourful lifestyle and reputation.
